Palimino Hair and Hand Fans

These are the fans I carried and wore at the minnesota Renaissance Festival in 2010. I just finished the hair fan in September right before the festival. It was well worth it.

While I had considered selling the first fan with just the palimino horse head--someone suggested I make a hair fan to match and wear to the fest. So I did.

Both are from the same pheasent. Both are set with black buckskin, edged with glass beads, decorated with bone beads, and painted on with oil paints. The oil work is free hand with no drawing before hand. The hair fan ties with cotton ties. It is also backed with black dyed ostrich feathers.

I've decided I'm keeping this set. I felt so pretty wearing them, and the hand fan was a wonderful flirtation device. I could flash it over my corset very easily!!!

I have more wings, and I plan on doing more fans later.
